Now one could here me, but heard a guy faintly from Idaho, Tennessee, California. This one guy dominated who talked with everyone kept saying 75 mile NE of Alanlta on his striker 995. Gave my squelch a work out keeping tuned in.

I just looked Striker 995, it’s a 10mm radio?

The Stryker 955HPC is a 10m conversion radio, easy mod to remove a resistor to convert. Personally I don't even try contacts on channel 6, I like SSB, 6 is a AM channel and I'd be a guppie in a shark tank. I like 38lsb and 39lsb, I've made quite a few contacts today both on the base and mobile.

I talk on channel 6 (AKA Superbowl) occasionally when I have conditions. I also do a lot of other talking on channel 11, 26, and 28. but I've been taking a break for the last couple years from skip shooting.... I think my break should be ending pretty soon. And you get through across country? On skip.
Yep... I've talked to Japan and Australia on my 3 watt dead key radio.

Maybe I’ll have that luck. Listening to gut called Star Trek about 20 miles off he was talking with a guy 1202 up in Canada. I could hear 1202. I’m about 30 miles N of Seattle. Crazy stuff, I’m enjoying.

Apparently the skip was rolling like crazy this afternoon. I was hearing stations in So Cal all the way over here in TX.
